Jarrell has grown quickly along the I-35 corridor, with master-planned communities like Sonterra adding thousands of new homes to what was a much smaller town not long ago. Dr. Watts Electric serves both this new construction and Jarrell’s smaller historic core near downtown.
Founded in 1909 as a railroad stop, Jarrell stayed a town of a few hundred residents for decades before growth along I-35 changed everything, with Sonterra alone adding nearly 3,600 homes and tripling the area’s population within a decade.
This page covers the specific electrical work most requested across both Jarrell’s new subdivisions and its older, established streets.
New construction in Jarrell often comes with modern panels, but our technicians still verify capacity before adding an EV charger or other major electrical addition. Our panel upgrades service covers both new and older Jarrell homes.
We work regularly with builders and new homeowners in Sonterra and similar developments, making sure electrical capacity is planned correctly from the start rather than becoming a problem homeowners discover later.
We also serve Jarrell’s smaller historic downtown near C. Bud Stockton Loop, where some homes have older wiring due for evaluation.
These older properties tell a different story from the new subdivisions surrounding them, and we adjust our approach accordingly rather than treating every Jarrell address the same way.
A total power outage or a burning smell needs a faster response than standard scheduling allows. Our emergency electrician line prioritizes these calls throughout Jarrell.
