Florence sits where the Texas Hill Country meets the Blackland Prairie, a small, rural community where homes are often spread across larger lots than in busier parts of Bell County. Dr. Watts Electric brings the same licensed service to Florence that we provide throughout the region, without treating it as an afterthought because of its smaller size.
Settled in the 1850s and originally called Brooksville, Florence grew as a cattle and cotton community before becoming the quiet, compact town it is today.
This page covers the specific electrical work most requested by Florence homeowners and what to expect when you call for help.
Homes on larger Florence properties, often with more direct sun exposure and fewer neighboring structures for shade, can put extra strain on electrical systems and longer wire runs. Our electrical repair team handles both standard homes and larger rural properties.
A property spread across several acres presents different challenges than a standard suburban lot, from voltage drop over longer wire runs to outbuildings that need their own dedicated circuits.
Older farmhouse construction sometimes needs a panel upgrade or wiring evaluation. We assess each property individually rather than assuming based on the surrounding area.
A Florence farmhouse passed down through a family for generations often has an electrical history built up in stages, additions made by different people at different times, which is exactly the kind of situation a full evaluation helps sort out safely.
A standby generator is a practical investment for many rural Florence households, particularly given how a longer drive for help makes a fast response more important during an outage.
We size these systems to cover essential circuits, refrigeration, key lighting, and critical equipment, rather than defaulting to whole-home coverage that costs more than most rural households actually need.
